Ekadanta meaning : One Tusk or Tooth The original name of Ganesha, a Hindu deity known as the remover of obstacles and patron of arts and learning. I can think of nothing more deserving to slap on my chest.

I dig the content and the color choices are just right up my alley. Tired of all the color gradient, starfield bandwagon jumpers. Is there a reason his eyes are censored? I was thinking of doing a Ganesha design one day as well, don’t know if his eyes have any significance.

Subtly electrifying, i am really fond of the way the down played colors recede into the shirt mortal, not affecting at all the extremely detailed work on the art itself, letting the art be art but not overpowering to the point that you forget that THE SHIRT IS ACTUALLY BEING WORN BY A PERSON! the muted colors actually force the viewer to take a closer look and notice all the ‘secret penmanship’ of the artist, and takes what could have easily become a gaudy piece of shock art and gives it an unassuming touch of elegance, and timelessness. VOTED TO THE POWER OF TEN!!!

my favorite! the only one id wear of the ten semifinalists, and one of my favorite designs i’ve ever seen on this site. Just the kind of style i’d like. A few others have asked, and im curious as well, why the black bar over the eyes? it doesnt detract from the design i dont think, but its an interesting choice, and i was wondering why. Hope you win!

This is one of the best t-shirt designs I have seen in ages. I typically don’t vote for t-shirts, and just procure what I like from what people vote for. But this shirt is amazing. It is not overpowering, very subtle, but definitely requires further inspection once noticed. I would buy this in a heartbeat. And it would be worn often.

I like this one too, not to gaudy. Im not sure I understand the blindfold over the eyes though…or is that just the way Ganesha is portrayed? It almost looks like you are trying to ‘blind’ him or mock him or something. I could just be way off base here

Haha yes! I love this shirt. Buying right away. @jliebhardt: I took it as the blindfold is on as a sign of respect to the deity, thinking that maybe we shouldn’t look it in the eyes. But yes, I’m curious as well to know the purpose of it.

I can wear this type of t and not feel as though I’m insulting anyone’s religion, given that the deity being worshiped is that of art & learning. Now anyone who comes up to me and asks what the image on my t’ is I can inform them of the lore (being Ganesha’s original name) and they can appreciate the uniqueness of my t’ and spread the word. Unlike the t’ of baby Jesus whom is unable to mend his teddy ;P.

I got it and the elephant (Ekadanta) himself is practically invisible. The color it’s printed in is almost the same as the shirt. From any more than a foot away, all anyone can see are the bright colors… terrible and disappointing. If only they’d picked a lighter shade of fabric, or printed the lines of the elephant in a darker color like black or dark grey, it would have been perfect. I love the design, but I suggest you DON’T BUY unless you trust that DBH simply screwed the shirt I received up. Unfortunately, this is my second order and the second time that the shirt doesn’t look like the picture, or look right.
