I’m a fan, but I don’t take that statement quite to his level.. I’m thinking more along the lines of, say, somebody takes a photograph of a pretty face, while somebody else paints a photo-realistic picture of the same face. Which one are you going to appreciate more? In the end it seems to make no difference, but I would personally be much more inspired by the painting.

ah but there is alot of phyiscal craft in photograph whether judging the light on digital or developing on film
